WW PHILLY CHEESESTEAK SLOPPY JOES

These Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes are a fun take on regular sloppy joes.

They’re delicious and easy to make. Perfect for a busy weeknight!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. 96% lean ground beef
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3/4 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Add ground beef and garlic to a large skillet. Brown and break apart the ground beef. Add the green pepper and onion while the beef is still somewhat pink. Once the beef is fully cooked drain the grease.
  2. Mix together the cornstarch and beef broth then add to the meat mixture. Add the Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, salt and pepper.
  3. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the mozzarella cheese. Serve with your preferred bun.
