Weight Watchers Lettuce Bun Cheeseburger

Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef (you can also use ground turkey or chicken)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce leaves (such as iceberg or butter lettuce) for buns
- Sliced reduced-fat cheese of your choice (such as cheddar, Swiss, or pepper jack)
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced onions
- Pickles (optional)
- Mustard or reduced-fat mayo (optional)
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- Divide the ground beef into equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Season the patties with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly coat it with cooking spray.
- Cook the burger patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare your lettuce leaves. Wash and dry them thoroughly, then use them as buns to hold your burger.
- Once the patties are cooked, place a slice of reduced-fat cheese on each patty and let it melt slightly.
- Assemble your burgers by placing the cheese-topped patties on lettuce leaves. Top with sliced tomatoes, onions, pickles, and any other preferred toppings.
- Add a small amount of mustard or reduced-fat mayo if desired.
- Fold the lettuce leaves over the burger patties to create a “bun” and hold everything together.
