Weight Watchers Homemade Chocolate Frosty

This homemade chocolate frosty is a healthier twist on the beloved fast-food classic. With a smooth, creamy consistency and rich cocoa flavor, it satisfies your sweet tooth while staying within your Weight Watchers points. This recipe uses simple, wholesome ingredients and takes only a few minutes to prepare. It’s ideal as a dessert, a post-workout snack, or even a midday pick-me-up on a hot day. The frozen banana creates that iconic thick and frosty texture, while unsweetened cocoa and Greek yogurt add richness and protein.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium banana, sliced and frozen
  • 1/2 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2–3 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk (or other milk alternative)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons zero-calorie sweetener (optional, adjust to taste)
  • Small pinch of salt (optional, enhances flavor)

Instructions

1. Freeze the banana.
Start with a ripe banana. Slice it into coins and freeze for at least 2 to 3 hours, or preferably overnight. A ripe banana gives natural sweetness and ensures a creamy texture when blended.

2. Combine the ingredients.
In a high-powered blender or food processor, combine the frozen banana slices, Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt if using. Add 2 tablespoons of unsweetened almond milk to help the mixture blend smoothly.

3. Blend until smooth and frosty.
Blend on high until the mixture is smooth, thick, and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides or add an extra tablespoon of almond milk to achieve the desired consistency. The goal is a thick, spoonable texture—similar to a soft-serve or traditional frosty.

4. Adjust sweetness.
Taste the mixture and, if desired, add a teaspoon or two of your preferred zero-calorie sweetener to enhance the sweetness. Blend again briefly to incorporate.

5. Serve immediately.
Scoop the chocolate frosty into a small bowl or glass. Enjoy it right away while it’s cold and thick. It can be eaten with a spoon or a straw, depending on how thick you prefer it.

Serving Suggestions

This chocolate frosty is delicious on its own, but you can also top it with fresh berries, a sprinkle of unsweetened cocoa nibs, or a dollop of nonfat whipped topping for an extra treat. For added protein, blend in a scoop of chocolate or vanilla protein powder, which will also make the texture even thicker and more filling.

It’s a great post-dinner dessert or a midday chocolate fix that feels indulgent but supports your health and weight-loss goals.
