Weight Watchers Air Fryer Donuts!!!

Ingredients:

For the Donuts:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar substitute (e.g., Stevia or erythritol)
  • 1 egg (or 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce for an eggless version)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Glaze (optional):

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar substitute (e.g., powdered erythritol)
  • 1-2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Donut Batter:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, unsweetened applesauce, Greek yogurt, sugar substitute, egg (or applesauce), baking powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix until a smooth batter forms.
  3. Fill Donut Pan:
    • Lightly spray a donut pan designed for the air fryer with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Fill the Donut Cavities:
    • Spoon or pipe the donut batter into the donut pan’s cavities, filling each about two-thirds full.
  5. Air Fry the Donuts:
    • Place the donut pan in the preheated air fryer and air fry for about 5-7 minutes or until the donuts are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove and Cool:
    • Carefully remove the donuts from the pan and let them cool on a wire rack.
  7. Prepare the Glaze (Optional):
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar substitute, unsweetened almond milk, and vanilla extract to create a glaze. Adjust the consistency with more or less almond milk as needed.
  8. Glaze the Donuts:
    • Once the donuts have cooled, dip the top of each donut into the glaze, allowing any excess to drip off.
  9. Serve:
