Weight Watchers Air Fryer Chicken Tenders
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken breast tenders
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs (whole wheat for a healthier option)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare the Breading Mixture:
- In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Coat the Chicken:
- Lightly coat each chicken tender with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to adhere.
- Air Fry the Chicken Tenders:
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the breaded chicken tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
- Lightly spray the tops of the chicken tenders with cooking spray.
- Cook in the Air Fryer:
- Cook the chicken tenders at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
- The chicken tenders are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and have a golden, crispy coating.
- Serve:
- Allow the chicken tenders to cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as a low-fat ranch dressing or a marinara sauce.
