W/W 0 Point Cheese Twists

Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets of reduced-fat puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1/2 cup grated reduced-fat Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil (or your preferred dried herb)
  • Cooking spray
  • Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    2. Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, grated mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and dried basil. Mix well.
    3. Roll Out the Puff Pastry:
    • Lay out one sheet of thawed reduced-fat puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.Roll it out slightly to even it out.
    4. Add the Cheese Mixture:
    • Sprinkle half of the cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry sheet.
    5. Create Layers:
    • Carefully place the second puff pastry sheet on top of the first one, sandwiching the cheese mixture in between.
    6. Cut into Strips:
    • Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut the layered puff pastry sheets into strips, about 1-inch wide.
    7. Twist the Strips:
    • Take each strip and twist it gently to create a spiral shape.
    8. Place on Baking Sheet:
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.Place the cheese twists on the baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
    9. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the cheese twists are golden brown and puffed up.
    10. Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the cheese twists to cool slightly before serving.
