π§ Vegan Baked Brie (4 Ingredients!)
Serves: 6β8
Prep time: 5 minutes
Bake time: 25 minutes
π Ingredients
- 1 wheel vegan brie (about 8 oz β brands like Miyokoβs, Nutty Artisan Foods, or Kind Co work beautifully; or use a homemade version)
- 3β4 tbsp fruit preserves (fig, cranberry, or apricot are classic)
- ΒΌ cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, or pistachios)
- 1 sheet vegan puff pastry (make sure itβs labeled dairy-free, like Pepperidge Farm or Jus-Rol)
Optional garnishes: Fresh rosemary, thyme, or a drizzle of maple syrup
π§ Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare puff pastry: Let the pastry thaw until pliable but still cold. Roll slightly if needed to smooth creases.
- Assemble:
- Place the vegan brie wheel in the center of the pastry.
- Spoon fruit preserves on top.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts over the preserves.
- Wrap it up: Fold the pastry over the brie, sealing the edges in the center like a parcel. Trim any excess pastry if needed and press gently to close.
- Bake: Place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush lightly with plant milk for shine (optional). Bake for 20β25 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
- Cool slightly: Let sit for about 10 minutes before cutting β this helps the cheese stay gooey without spilling out.
- Serve: Garnish with rosemary or thyme and a drizzle of maple syrup if desired. Serve with crackers, sliced baguette, or apple wedges.
π₯ Tips
- For a gluten-free version, skip the puff pastry and bake the brie in a small ramekin topped with jam and nuts until warm and melty.
- Want extra holiday flavor? Use cranberry preserves and add a pinch of orange zest.
