STICKY BISCUIT CINNAMON ROLLS RING

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

For the Filling:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (or a sugar substitute for fewer points)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

For the Sticky Topping:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (or a sugar substitute for fewer points)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a round baking dish or arrange the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

For the Dough:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the non-fat Greek yogurt and unsweetened applesauce to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until smooth.

For the Filling:

  1. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  2. Brush the melted unsalted butter over the surface of the dough.
  3. Mix together the brown sugar (or sugar substitute) and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
  4. Starting from one long edge, roll the dough into a log.

For the Sticky Topping:

  1. Pour the melted unsalted butter into the bottom of the round baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle brown sugar (or sugar substitute) evenly over the butter.

Assembly:

  1. Cut the rolled dough into equal-sized slices, about 1 inch thick.
  2. Place the slices in the prepared baking dish, arranging them in a circular pattern.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.
  4. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
