STICKY BISCUIT CINNAMON ROLLS RING

Ingredients:
For the Dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
For the Filling:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (or a sugar substitute for fewer points)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Sticky Topping:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (or a sugar substitute for fewer points)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a round baking dish or arrange the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
For the Dough:
- In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the non-fat Greek yogurt and unsweetened applesauce to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until smooth.
For the Filling:
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Brush the melted unsalted butter over the surface of the dough.
- Mix together the brown sugar (or sugar substitute) and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
- Starting from one long edge, roll the dough into a log.
For the Sticky Topping:
- Pour the melted unsalted butter into the bottom of the round baking dish.
- Sprinkle brown sugar (or sugar substitute) evenly over the butter.
Assembly:
- Cut the rolled dough into equal-sized slices, about 1 inch thick.
- Place the slices in the prepared baking dish, arranging them in a circular pattern.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
