Spicy Steak Fajitas
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions:
- Marinate the steak – In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, soy sauce, and all the spices. Add sliced steak and coat well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (or overnight for more flavor).
- Cook the steak – Heat a skillet over high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté veggies – In the same skillet, add butter, bell peppers, and onions. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until slightly soft but still crisp.
- Combine & serve – Add the steak back into the skillet, mix well, and cook for another minute.
- Enjoy! Serve with keto tortillas, lettuce wraps, or on a plate with guacamole and sour cream.
