Spicy Steak Fajitas

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the steak – In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, soy sauce, and all the spices. Add sliced steak and coat well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (or overnight for more flavor).
  2. Cook the steak – Heat a skillet over high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté veggies – In the same skillet, add butter, bell peppers, and onions. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until slightly soft but still crisp.
  4. Combine & serve – Add the steak back into the skillet, mix well, and cook for another minute.
  5. Enjoy! Serve with keto tortillas, lettuce wraps, or on a plate with guacamole and sour cream.
