Pizza Burgers
I just combined two of my all-time favorite comfort foods into a mouthwatering creation with these pizza burgers!
Imagine sinking your teeth into a burger topped with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and pizza sauce.
It’s like a cozy hug from your favorite pizza place and burger joint all at once!
The best part? These pizza burgers are super easy to make at home. I love adding sautéed mushrooms and bell peppers for an extra burst of flavor.
You’ll love them!
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1⁄2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1⁄2 tsp salt
- 1⁄4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 24 pepperoni slices
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add the garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir to combine. Pour in the pizza sauce and mix well. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Preheat the oven broiler. Split the hamburger buns and place them cut side up on a baking sheet.
- Spoon the beef mixture evenly onto the bottom halves of the buns. Top each with 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and 6 pepperoni slices.
- Place under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch carefully so they don’t burn.
- Remove from the oven and place the top buns on the burgers. Serve immediately while hot.
