Philly Cheesesteak Casserole (yum!)

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 3 large bell peppers, seeded and sliced into strips
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 4 oz Provolone cheese, shredded or sliced
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a large skillet heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the onion and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the beef and cook until browned.
  5. Add the peppers and cook for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Add the cream cheese and stir to combine.
  7. Add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika and salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Stir to combine.
  9. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  10. Top with Provolone cheese.
  11. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
