1 lb ground beef or thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
1 large onion, sliced
1 large green bell pepper, sliced
1 large red bell pepper, sliced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef or cook the thinly sliced steak until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Add Vegetables: Add the sliced onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, mushrooms, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Season: Stir in the salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and heavy cream. Stir until smooth and well combined.
Combine Everything: Add the cream cheese mixture to the skillet and stir to combine with the beef and vegetables.
Assemble the Casserole: Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
