Pecan Pie Balls Recipe
Serve up this sweet treat this holiday season! Pecan Pie Bites are always a huge hit and the perfect addition to your holiday desserts table. People go nuts over this delicious dessert. I can’t say I blame them. They are pretty darn good!
The yummiest part of a Pecan Pie with a little kick!
I made these for Thanksgiving and several holiday parties. They were a huge hit with all. Especially, for my healthy “portion controlled” friends! They liked the fact that they could have one pie ball instead of being served one slice of pie and only eating a small portion of it.
A lot of people have asked about a non-alcoholic version: try almond extract if you do not like the taste of alcohol. You can also use a rum non-alcohol flavoring. Add a little water to equal liquid amount. Vanilla wafers can be subbed for graham crackers.
Ingredients:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
2 ½ cups pecan halves, finely chopped
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 to 8 tbsp melted butter
½ cup pure maple syrup
24 ounces chocolate almond bark
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, chopped pecans, brown sugar, and maple syrup.
Gradually add the melted butter until the mixture holds together and can be rolled into balls without falling apart.
Step 2: Shape the Balls
Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined tray.
Refrigerate or freeze the tray for one hour to firm up the balls.
Step 3: Melt the Chocolate
Melt the chocolate almond bark according to the package directions.
Step 4: Coat the Balls
Dip each pecan pie ball into the melted chocolate and place them back onto the parchment-lined tray.
Allow the chocolate to harden completely before serving.
Enjoy!
These Pecan Pie Balls are a delicious treat, perfect for any occasion!
