π Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets (about 5β6 oz each, skin-on or skinless)
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
For the glaze:
3 tbsp honey
1 Β½ tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, for depth)
ΒΌ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
π₯ Instructions:
- Prep the salmon:
Pat salmon dry with paper towels.
Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Make the glaze:
In a small bowl, mix together:
Honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, Dijon (if using), and red pepper flakes.
- Sear the salmon:
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Place salmon skin-side up in the skillet.
Sear for 3β4 minutes, until a golden crust forms.
Flip and cook another 2β3 minutes.
- Add butter & glaze:
Add 2 tbsp butter to the pan.
Once melted, pour in the honey glaze.
Tilt the pan and spoon the sauce over salmon continuously for 2β3 minutes, until salmon is fully cooked (internal temp ~125β130Β°F / 52β54Β°C for medium).
- Serve immediately:
Spoon extra glaze from the pan over the salmon.
