Mini Pizza Burgers Recipe
Ingredients
1 lb (450g) ground beef (or turkey)
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp Italian seasoning
1 cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
1 package mini burger buns or slider rolls
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
Season the meat:
Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
Add sauce:
Pour in the pizza sauce and cook for 2–3 minutes, letting the flavors blend. Turn off heat.
Toast the buns (optional):
Lightly brush the insides of each mini bun with butter or olive oil. Toast on a skillet until golden.
Assemble the burgers:
Spoon a generous portion of the meat mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with mozzarella cheese and a slice of pepperoni if using. Sprinkle with Parmesan if desired.
Bake:
Place assembled burgers (open-faced) on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Top and serve:
Cover with the top half of the bun, secure with a toothpick if needed, and serve warm.
