Mexican Cheese Garlic Bread
Mexican Cheese Garlic Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups almond flour
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend (or a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
- 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp butter (melted)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional, for a little heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the dough: In a large bowl, mix the almond flour, baking powder, oregano, chili powder (if using), salt, and pepper. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, then add the melted butter, cream cheese, and minced garlic. Stir until well combined.
- Combine: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. The dough should be thick but spreadable.
- Form the bread: Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet and spread it out evenly to form a rectangle (about 1/2-inch thick). Press the dough down with a spatula or your hands to smooth it out.
- Add the cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Mexican cheese blend evenly over the top of the dough.
- Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Let the bread cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired. Serve warm!
Tips:
- Add a little more garlic or jalapeños for extra flavor and spice.
- If you prefer a crispier texture, bake the bread a little longer until it’s golden and crispy.
