KETO MONTE CRISTO

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of Keto bread (you can use almond flour or coconut flour-based bread)
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of turkey breast
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter or ghee for frying
  • Powdered erythritol (optional, for dusting)

Instructions:

  1. Assemble the sandwiches:
    • Place 2 slices of Swiss cheese on each of 2 slices of Keto bread.
    • Layer 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of turkey breast on top of the cheese.
    • Top with the remaining 2 slices of Keto bread to form sandwiches.
  2. Prepare the egg wash:
    • In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Coat the sandwiches:
    • Heat butter or ghee in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Dip each sandwich into the egg wash, coating both sides evenly.
  4. Cook the sandwiches:
    • Place the coated sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove from the skillet and let cool slightly.
    • Optionally, dust with powdered erythritol for a touch of sweetness.
    • Slice diagonally and serve warm.
