KETO MONTE CRISTO
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of Keto bread (you can use almond flour or coconut flour-based bread)
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of turkey breast
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Butter or ghee for frying
- Powdered erythritol (optional, for dusting)
Instructions:
- Assemble the sandwiches:
- Place 2 slices of Swiss cheese on each of 2 slices of Keto bread.
- Layer 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of turkey breast on top of the cheese.
- Top with the remaining 2 slices of Keto bread to form sandwiches.
- Prepare the egg wash:
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Coat the sandwiches:
- Heat butter or ghee in a skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each sandwich into the egg wash, coating both sides evenly.
- Cook the sandwiches:
- Place the coated sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve:
- Remove from the skillet and let cool slightly.
- Optionally, dust with powdered erythritol for a touch of sweetness.
- Slice diagonally and serve warm.
