Keto Candied Pecans
INGREDIENTS
* 2 cups raw pecans halves
* 3-4 tablespoons butter
* 1/2 cup mounded Swerve brown sugar
* 1 tsp Vanilla
* Pinch of salt – I used pink Himalayan salt – optional
* Pinch of Cinnamon – optional
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Add butter and Swerve brown sugar to a large non stick skillet. Let the ingredinet melt and whisk to combine.
2. Add vanilla, salt and cinnamon and mix together
3. Once the sauce comes together and the sugar is melted, add the pecans and mix to coat all of the nuts.
4. Cook over medium low heat until the nuts start to brown and you can smell the nuts roasting. You should contine to mix them every few minutes to make sure they don’t burn. The whole process should only take 15 minutes.
5. Cover a cookie sheet with wax paper or parchment paper and spread out the nuts to air dry
6. When nuts are fully dried, store in a sealed container or jar.
NOTES
Yield: 2 cups
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
