Homemade Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza

Ingredients:
For the Base:
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Oil for frying or spraying (for crisping the tortillas)
For the Filling:
- 1/2 lb (about 250g) ground beef or ground chicken
- 1/2 packet taco seasoning (or homemade mix: cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika)
- 1/4 cup water
For the Layers & Topping:
- 1/2 cup refried beans (canned or homemade)
- 1/2 cup enchilada sauce or taco sauce
- 1/2–1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
- Diced tomatoes (optional)
- Sliced olives (optional)
- Chopped green onions or cilantro (optional)
🔪 Instructions:
- Crisp the Tortillas:
Lightly fry or air-fry the tortillas until golden and crispy on both sides. Set aside. - Cook the Meat:
In a pan, cook ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat, add taco seasoning + water, and simmer until thickened. - Assemble:
- Take one crispy tortilla, spread a layer of refried beans.
- Add a generous spoonful of seasoned beef.
- Top with another crispy tortilla.
- Spread enchilada or taco sauce on top.
- Sprinkle with cheese, tomatoes, olives, or any toppings you like.
- Bake or Broil:
Place the assembled pizzas on a baking tray and broil for 2–4 minutes or bake at 375°F (190°C) until the cheese is melted and bubbly. - Serve:
Slice like a pizza and serve hot with sour cream, guacamole, or salsa on the side!
