Home Made Pizza Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Olive oil for cooking

For the Pizza Sauce:

  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Toppings:

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your favorite pizza toppings (e.g., sliced pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Prepare the Chicken:

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, dried oregano, garlic powder, and onion powder on both sides.

3. Cook the Chicken:

  • Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the seasoned chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

4. Prepare the Pizza Sauce:

  • In a bowl, mix together tomato sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to make the pizza sauce.

5. Assemble the Pizza Chicken:

  • Spoon the pizza sauce over each chicken breast.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Add your favorite pizza toppings.

6. Bake:

  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

7. Garnish and Serve:

  • Remove the skillet from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley, if desired.
  • Serve the pizza chicken directly from the skillet.
