Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 cups almond flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- A pinch of salt
For the toppings:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce (sugar-free)
- Toppings of your choice (pepperoni, veggies, sausage, etc.)
Instructions:
- Make the dough:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine shredded mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then microwave for another 30 seconds until melted and smooth.
- Add in the egg, almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Stir until it forms a dough.
- Shape the dough:
- Place the dough on a piece of parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Use your hands or a rolling pin to spread the dough into a round pizza shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Pre-bake the crust:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes, until golden and firm.
- Add toppings:
- Remove the crust from the oven and spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over the pizza base.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and add your preferred toppings.
- Bake again:
- Place the pizza back in the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve:
- Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly. Slice and enjoy your keto-friendly pizza!
