Home Made Crustless Pizza Bake

Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef or Italian sausage (or a mix)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 bell pepper, diced (optional)
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup black olives, sliced (optional)
- 2 cups marinara or pizza sauce (sugar-free for keto)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni slices (or your favorite toppings)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. - Cook the Meat:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or sausage until browned. Drain any excess grease. Add onions, bell peppers, and garlic powder. Sauté for 2-3 minutes. - Add Sauce:
Stir in marinara or pizza sauce and season with oregano and red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for 5 minutes. - Assemble the Bake:
Pour the meat mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly. Sprinkle mushrooms, olives, and other favorite toppings over the meat. - Add the Cheese:
Layer mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the toppings. Arrange pepperoni slices on top. - Bake:
Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown. - Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle fresh basil leaves on top and let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
