WW-Candied Nuts Recipe


  • 1 cup mixed nuts (e.g., almonds, pecans, walnuts)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons granulated low-calorie sweetener (e.g., erythritol, Stevia, or a sugar substitute with WW SmartPoints in mind)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the unsweetened applesauce, low-calorie sweetener, ground cinnamon, and salt. Adjust the amount of sweetener to your taste and WW SmartPoints allowance.
  3. Add the mixed nuts to the bowl and toss them in the sweetener mixture until all nuts are evenly coated.
  4. Spread the coated nuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake the nuts in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until they turn golden and fragrant. Be sure to check them occasionally to prevent burning.
  6. Once done, remove the nuts from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet.
  7. After the nuts have cooled, break them apart if needed and transfer them to an airtight container for storage.
