Filling:

  • 300โ€“400g lean ground chicken, turkey, or beef
  • 1/2 cup black beans (rinsed, optional for fiber & protein)
  • 1/2 cup corn (optional)
  • 1/2 small onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Extras:

  • 1/2 cup shredded low-fat cheese
  • 2โ€“3 large whole wheat or high-protein tortillas
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt (as sour cream alternative)

1. Cook the filling

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat.
  2. Cook onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add ground meat, season, and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in beans, corn, and spices. Cook 2โ€“3 minutes until combined.
  5. Remove from heat, mix in cheese and Greek yogurt for creaminess.

2. Assemble burritos

  • Lay out tortilla. Spoon filling in the center.
  • Fold sides over, then roll tightly.

3. Air fry

  • Preheat air fryer to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF)
  • Lightly spray burritos with oil.
  • Air fry for 8โ€“12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

4. Serve

  • Optional toppings: salsa, avocado, hot sauce, extra Greek yogurt
