Healthy “Snickers” Dates
Ingredients:
- 1 cup chopped chocolate
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 16 oz fresh dates
- 1/3 cup nut butter of choice, I used freshly ground peanut butter
- flaky sea salt
Directions:
- Melt the chocolate either in the microwave in 20-second increments, or on the stove until smooth
- Cut each date in half to remove the pit
- Place about a teaspoon of nut butter in each date and pinch it close
- With two forks, coat each date in the chocolate and let the excess drip off
- Place the coated dates on a plate and sprinkle with sea salt
- Place the dates in the freezer for 15-20 minutes and then transfer to a sealed container
- Enjoy throughout the week (if they last that long)!!
