.Instructions:

  1. Prepare Foil Packets: Tear off four large pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil, each about 12×12 inches. Place them on a flat surface.
  2. Preheat Grill or Oven: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Season Steak and Potatoes: In a bowl, combine the diced steak, diced potatoes, sliced onion, minced garlic, and two tablespoons of melted butter. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste preference. Toss everything together until well coated.
  4. Divide Mixture: Divide the steak and potato mixture evenly among the foil pieces, placing it in the center of each piece.
  5. Wrap Foil Packets: Fold the foil over the steak and potato mixture to create a packet, sealing the edges tightly to prevent any juices from leaking out during cooking.
  6. Cook Foil Packets: Place the foil packets on the preheated grill or in the oven. If grilling, cook for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through. If baking, cook for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness and the potatoes are tender.
  7. Finish with Garlic Butter: Carefully open each foil packet (watch out for steam), and add a tablespoon of butter to each packet. Allow the butter to melt over the steak and potatoes, giving them extra flavor.
  8. Serve: Remove the foil packets from the grill or oven. Sprinkle with chopped parsley for garnish if desired. Serve the steak and potato foil packets immediately, either directly from the foil or transferred to plates.
