Garlic Butter Rosemary Rolls

Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm milk (not hot)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
For the garlic butter topping:
- ¼ cup butter
- 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary (or 1 tsp dried)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Activate Yeast:
In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. - Make Dough:
Add melted butter, egg, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Mix until combined. Gradually add remaining flour and knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth. (Add a little more flour if sticky.) - Let Rise:
Cover the bowl and let dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size. - Shape Rolls:
Punch down dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Roll each into a smooth ball and place in a greased baking dish. - Second Rise:
Cover and let rise again for 20–30 minutes while you preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). - Make Garlic Butter:
Melt butter in a pan, add minced garlic, rosemary, and a pinch of salt. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. - Brush and Bake:
Brush rolls generously with garlic butter and bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown. - Finish:
Once out of the oven, brush again with any remaining garlic butter for extra flavor.
Tips:
- Want cheesy rolls? Add some shredded mozzarella or parmesan on top before baking.
- Serve warm with soup, salad, or as a side with your favorite meals.
