🍓🥭 Fruit Custard Recipe
✅ Ingredients:
For Custard:
- 2 cups (500 ml) full-fat milk
- 2 tbsp custard powder (usually vanilla flavor)
- 3–4 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
Fruits (choose a mix of your favorites):
- 1 apple, peeled and chopped
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 mango, peeled and chopped (or use canned mango if out of season)
- ½ cup grapes (halved)
- 1 orange, segmented
- Optional: pomegranate seeds, kiwi, pineapple, berries, etc.
🍮 Instructions:
1. Make Custard Base:
- Take 2 tbsp custard powder in a small bowl.
- Add ¼ cup cold milk (from the 2 cups) and mix to form a smooth slurry—no lumps.
- In a saucepan, heat the remaining 1¾ cups milk and bring to a gentle boil.
- Reduce the heat, add sugar, and stir until dissolved.
- Slowly pour in the custard slurry while whisking continuously to prevent lumps.
- Keep stirring and cook on low heat for 3–5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Turn off the heat. Let it cool to room temperature, then chill in the fridge.
2. Prepare Fruits:
- Chop the fruits into small, bite-sized pieces.
- Keep the fruits chilled until ready to mix.
3. Combine & Chill:
- Once the custard is completely cooled, gently fold in the chopped fruits.
- Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
