Fried Wing Flats Drizzled With Honey Lemon Pepper

Ingredients:

  • Chicken wing flats
  • Cooking oil (such as vegetable or canola oil)
  • Salt and pepper for seasoning
  • Lemon pepper seasoning
  • Honey

Instructions:

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a deep fryer or a large, deep skillet to about 350-375°F (175-190°C).
  2. While the oil is heating, season the chicken wing flats with salt and pepper to taste. You can also add some garlic powder or other seasonings if you like.
  3. Carefully place the seasoned chicken wing flats in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Make sure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) to ensure they are fully cooked.
  4. While the chicken wings are frying, you can prepare the honey lemon pepper drizzle. In a small saucepan, combine honey and lemon pepper seasoning to taste. Warm the mixture over low heat, stirring until it’s well combined. Adjust the amount of honey and lemon pepper to your desired flavor profile – you can make it sweeter or more citrusy, depending on your preference.
  5. Once the chicken wing flats are done frying, remove them from the hot oil and let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Drizzle the honey lemon pepper mixture over the fried chicken wing flats while they are still hot.
  7. Serve your honey lemon pepper drizzled chicken wing flats immediately as an appetizer, snack, or part of your main meal…
