Crockpot Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional garnish: chopped green onions, sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Make the Sauce:
- In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, olive oil, dried oregano, and dried thyme. Mix well until the ingredients are fully combined.
- Marinate the Chicken:
- Place the chicken breasts in a crockpot or slow cooker.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken, making sure to coat each piece evenly.
- Cook in the Crockpot:
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender. Cooking times may vary depending on your crockpot.
- Air Fryer Finish:
- Once the chicken is cooked in the crockpot, preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Transfer the cooked chicken breasts from the crockpot to the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for about 5-7 minutes, until the chicken gets a crispy exterior. Make sure to flip halfway through for even cooking.
- Serve:
- Once done, remove the chicken from the air fryer.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
- Serve the honey garlic chicken hot with your favorite sides like rice, quinoa, or steamed vegetables.
