
High-Protein Comfort Casserole

Ingredients
Base
- 1 can reduced-fat crescent roll dough
- 450 g (1 lb) lean corned beef or turkey pastrami, chopped
- 1½ cups reduced-fat Swiss cheese, shredded
Creamy High-Protein Layer
- 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
- ½ cup reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Toppings
- 1½ cups sauerkraut, drained & squeezed dry
- 1 egg white, beaten (for brushing top)
- Optional: caraway seeds or everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C / 375°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Make the creamy layer
Mix Greek yogurt, cream cheese, Dijon, and black pepper until smooth. - Bottom crust
Unroll half the crescent dough and press into the bottom of the dish, sealing seams. - Layer it up
- Spread half the creamy mixture
- Add chopped corned beef
- Sprinkle Swiss cheese
- Evenly spread sauerkraut
- Top crust
- Unroll remaining dough over the top
- Brush with egg white
- Sprinkle seasoning if using
- Bake
- Bake 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly
- Rest 10 minutes before slicing
