Creamed peas and potatoes

Ingredients:
- 2 cups baby potatoes (quartered or halved if large)
- 1 ½ cups fresh or frozen green peas
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (or almond flour for keto)
- 1 cup milk (or heavy cream for a creamier texture)
- ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or dill for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Boil the Potatoes
In a medium pot, boil the potatoes in salted water until tender (about 10-12 minutes). Drain and set aside. - Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux. Gradually whisk in the milk and broth until smooth and thickened. - Add Seasoning and Peas
Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the peas and cook for 3-5 minutes (until tender if using fresh peas). - Combine with Potatoes
Gently fold in the cooked potatoes until everything is well coated with the creamy sauce. - Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with fresh parsley or dill, if desired. Serve warm.
