Cheesy Spaghetti, Old Bay Wings, and Garlic Bread
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces (225g) spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add diced tomatoes (with their juices), dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine and simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss until well coated with the tomato sauce.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the spaghetti. Cover the skillet and let it sit for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
- Once the cheese is melted, remove from heat. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, and serve hot.
Old Bay Wings:
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds (about 900g) chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
- 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with Old Bay seasoning, olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the seasoned wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the wings are crispy and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Serve with lemon wedges on the side if desired.
Garlic Bread:
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of French bread, sliced lengthwise
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the French bread.
- Optional: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the garlic butter.
- Place the prepared garlic bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crispy around the edges.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing….
