Cheesy Ground Beef Patty MeltIngredients:

For the Patty:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
For the Sandwich:
4 slices of hearty bread (sourdough or Texas toast work well)
2 tbsp butter (for grilling)
Optional: caramelized onions, pickles, or additional toppings of choice
Instructions:
Prepare the Patty:
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
Cook the Patties:
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until they are well browned and cooked through.
During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with shredded cheese. Cover the skillet with a lid to help melt the cheese.
Prepare the Bread:
While the patties are cooking, spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Once the patties are cooked and cheese is melted, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, place two slices of bread, buttered side down. Top with the cooked patties.
Add the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered side up.
Grill the Sandwich:
Cook the sandwich on medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side, pressing down gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is oozy.
Serve:
Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Cut the sandwich in half to reveal the melty cheese and juicy beef.
Serve hot, and enjoy the delicious, buttery goodness!
