Cheesesteak Taco Fries

Ingredients:
- Fries:
- 1 bag of frozen fries (or homemade fries)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (if homemade)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cheesesteak:
- 1 lb (450g) thinly sliced beef (like ribeye or sirloin)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional)
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or cheese of choice)
- Toppings:
- Sour cream
- Salsa
- Jalapeños (optional)
- Fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook the Fries:
- Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen fries package, or heat oil in a pan if you’re making them fresh.
- Bake or fry the fries until crispy and golden, then set them aside.
- Prepare the Cheesesteak:
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and bell peppers (if using), and sauté for 4-5 minutes until they soften and caramelize.
- Add the garlic, cooking for another 1-2 minutes.
- Push the veggies to the side of the skillet and add the sliced beef. Season with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
- Cook the beef for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently until fully cooked and browned.
- Once the beef is cooked, sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the meat and veggies. Allow it to melt.
- Assemble the Taco Fries:
- Place the crispy fries on a serving plate or platter.
- Top with the cheesesteak mixture, ensuring an even distribution of meat, onions, and melted cheese.
- Add Toppings:
- Drizzle sour cream and salsa over the top.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and jalapeños if desired.
- Serve and Enjoy:
