Best Pineapple Bake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (20 oz each) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Ritz cracker crumbs (about 1 sleeve of crackers)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix Pineapple Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained crushed pineapple, granulated sugar, and flour. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Add Cheese: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
  4. Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the pineapple mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  5. Prepare Cracker Topping: In a separate bowl, combine the Ritz cracker crumbs with the melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are well-coated with the butter.
  6. Add Topping: Sprinkle the buttered cracker crumbs evenly over the top of the pineapple mixture.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the mixture is bubbly.
  8. Serve: Allow the pineapple bake to cool slightly before serving. It can be served warm or at room temperature.
