Beef joint & roast potatoes

I used for the seasoning was a plastic freezer bag not a bag suitable for cooking the meat in, which I used to coat the beef with the oil & seasoning. I discarded the bag before cooking. Once the beef had rested there was a decent amount of juices on the plate. I added that juice to the gravy which is why the beef isn’t sitting in any juices. **

First ever try of cooking both the beef joint & roast potatoes in the Ninja. Ours is the 4 in 1. Beef is the Silverside 30 day matured beef roasting joint from Aldi. I added olive oil, salt and pepper to a freezer bag then added the joint of beef to the bag giving it a good old massage to get the seasoning rubbed in. I left the drip tray in the compartment, put it on Roast at 190 for 22 minutes then turned it over & put it on for another 22 minutes. Checked with the meat thermometer it was 52Β°C, we like it a little less red so I popped it back in on 170 for another 7 minutes.

Took it out & left it to rest. I’d already par boiled the potatoes for 10 minutes whilst the beef was cooking. Once it was cooked I took the drip tray out leaving the juices in situ, added the potatoes giving them a good shake & tossing them with a spatula to get all the juices evenly mixed. They went on Roast at 190 for 20 minutes, on checking them they were still a little hard so I gave them a good shake then turned the temperature down to 170 & added an extra 3 minutes, they came out perfect πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Absolutely thrilled with my first attempt πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
