Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti Casserole
Ingredients:
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Add chopped onion and garlic, and cook until onions are translucent.
- Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, then remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the cream cheese mixture and toss to coat evenly.
- Spread half of the spaghetti mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Spoon half of the meat sauce over the spaghetti layer. Repeat with remaining spaghetti mixture and meat sauce.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
