Baked Cabbage Steaks Recipe (Weight Watchers Only 2 Points)
Ingredients:
- 1 medium head of cabbage
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Prepare the cabbage: Remove any outer leaves from the cabbage. Cut the cabbage into 1-inch thick slices. You should get about 4-6 steaks from one medium cabbage.
- Season the cabbage: Lay the cabbage steaks on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each steak with olive oil on both sides. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over both sides of the cabbage steaks.
- Bake the cabbage: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, flipping the steaks halfway through, until the cabbage is tender and edges are golden brown.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
