Airfried fish fillet

Airfried fish fillets are a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional frying methods. They are easy to prepare and result in a crispy, flavorful dish without the need for excessive oil. Here’s a simple recipe to get you started:

Ingredients:

  • Fish fillets (any white fish like tilapia, cod, or haddock works well)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

For the coating:

  • All-purpose flour
  • Eggs (beaten)
  • Breadcrumbs or panko

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to the recommended temperature (usually around 400°F or 200°C) for a few minutes.
  2. While the air fryer is preheating, prepare the coating station. Place the all-purpose flour on one plate, the beaten eggs in a shallow bowl, and the breadcrumbs or panko on another plate.
  3. Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Dredge a fish fillet in the flour, shaking off any excess.
  5. Dip the floured fillet into the beaten eggs, ensuring it is fully coated.
  6. Transfer the fillet to the plate with breadcrumbs or panko and press down gently to coat the fish thoroughly.
  7. Place the coated fish fillet into the preheated air fryer basket. You can add a light spray of cooking oil or use a misting spray bottle to lightly coat the fillet for extra crispiness, but this step is optional.
  8. Cook the fish fillet in the air fryer for about 8 to 10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet and the model of your air fryer. Check the fillet’s internal temperature to ensure it’s cooked through (145°F or 63°C for fish).
  9. Once the fish fillet is cooked, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a minute before serving.
  10. Serve the airfried fish fillet with lemon wedges and your favorite side dishes or salads.
