Air Fryer Tuna Cakes in Less Than 30 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of tuna, drained
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs (you can use panko or regular breadcrumbs)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray (for the air fryer basket)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, bread crumbs, chopped onion, chopped celery, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small patties, about 3-4 inches in diameter. You should be able to make approximately 4-6 tuna cakes depending on the size you prefer.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
  4. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent the tuna cakes from sticking.
  5. Place the tuna cakes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure there’s some space between them.
  6. Cook the tuna cakes in the preheated air fryer for about 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. They should be golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  7. Serve the air-fried tuna cakes hot with your choice of dipping sauce or a side salad…
