Air Fryer Tea Loaf

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup mixed dried fruits (raisins, currants, etc.)

  1. Preparation:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Grease a small loaf pan that fits inside your air fryer basket (typically about 6 inches long).
  2. Dry Ingredients:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. Wet Ingredients:
    • In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, beat until well combined.
  4. Combine and Mix:
    • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined. Fold in the dried fruits.
  5. Baking:
    • Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan. Place the loaf pan in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air Frying:
    • Air fry at 320°F (160°C) for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cooling:
    • Allow the tea loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Serving:
    • Once cooled, slice and serve with a cup of tea or coffee.
