AIR FRYER ROAST BEEF

Air Fryer Roast Beef – it is so easy to make succulent roast beef in your air fryer! Just a handful of ingredients and you can have tender roast beef on the table in under an hour!

▢2 tsp coarse salt▢1 tsp freshly ground black pepper▢½ tsp dried thyme▢½ tsp garlic granules▢½ tsp dried rosemary▢½ tsp mustard powder or brown sugarFor the Roast Beef▢2 ½ lbs (1.2 kg) roasting beef joint check it fits into your Air fryer▢3 tbsp olive oilInstructionsTake your beef joint out of the fridge and pat dry. Leave it to come to room temperature for 30 minutes. Make sure to check whether your joint fits into the air fryer. You can always slice a larger joint in half.
Meanwhile, preheat the air fryer (400°F /200°C) for 10 minutes. Mix all the seasoning ingredients together and brush the beef all over with olive oil. Remove the air fryer basket and turn the beef over. Reduce the temperature to 350°F / 180°C and cook for a further 30 minutes.Partially cooked beef joint in an air fryerStart checking the internal temperature of the beef with an instant read thermometer inserting the probe in the middle thickest part. Use the table in the recipe notes as a guide to cook it to your liking, adding five minutes of cooking time until your preferred temperature is reached. Remember that the temperature of the joint will continue to rise slightly as it rests so factor that in. Once the beef is cooked to your liking place it on a warm platter and cover loosely with foil. Leave it to rest for 20-30 minutes before slicing against the grain and serving with your favorite side dishes.
