Air Fryer Ribeye Steaks

Ingredients:
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 to 1.5 inches thick)
- 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional seasonings (garlic powder, paprika, rosemary, etc.)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
- While the air fryer is preheating, take your ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes. This helps the steaks cook more evenly.
- Rub the steaks with olive oil on both sides. This helps create a crispy exterior. You can also season them with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like. Be generous with the seasoning, as some will fall off during cooking.
- Place the ribeye steaks in the preheated air fryer basket. Make sure to leave some space between them to allow for proper air circulation.
- Cook the steaks for about 8-12 minutes, depending on your desired level of doneness and the thickness of the steaks. Here’s a general guideline:
- Rare: 8-10 minutes
- Medium-Rare: 10-12 minutes
- Medium: 12-14 minutes
- Medium-Well: 14-16 minutes
Keep in mind that cooking times may vary depending on your specific air fryer and the thickness of the steaks. It’s essential to use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, aim for around 130°F (54°C) for the center of the steak.
- About halfway through the cooking time, flip the steaks using tongs. This will help ensure even cooking on both sides.
- After the steaks have reached your desired level of doneness, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes on a cutting board. Resting allows the juices to redistribute within the meat and makes for a more flavorful and tender steak.
- Slice and serve your air-fried ribeye steaks, and enjoy!
