Air Fryer Pineapple

Ingredients:
- 1 fresh pineapple
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (or a sugar substitute like Swerve for a keto-friendly version)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick
- Optional: honey or maple syrup for drizzling
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Pineapple:
- Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple. Stand it upright and carefully slice off the skin. Cut the pineapple into rings or spears, removing the core.
- Season the Pineapple:
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar (or sugar substitute), ground cinnamon, and cayenne pepper if using. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the pineapple pieces, making sure they are well coated.
- Air Fry the Pineapple:
- Place the pineapple pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook for 8-12 minutes, turning halfway through, until the pineapple is golden brown and caramelized.
- Serve:
- Remove the pineapple from the air fryer and let it cool slightly. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired. Serve warm as a side dish, dessert, or topping for yogurt, ice cream, or pancakes.
