Air Fryer Pineapple

Ingredients:

  • 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1-2 tablespoons of honey (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the pineapple pieces with honey and cinnamon if desired. The honey will add sweetness, and the cinnamon will give it a warm, aromatic flavor. You can skip these ingredients if you prefer plain pineapple.
  3. Place the pineapple pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. It’s essential not to overcrowd the basket to ensure even cooking. If necessary, you can cook in batches.
  4. Air fry the pineapple for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket or tossing the pineapple halfway through to ensure even cooking. The exact time may vary depending on your air fryer’s power and the size of your pineapple pieces. The pineapple should become golden and slightly caramelized around the edges.
  5. Check the pineapple for your desired level of doneness. If you want it a bit crispier or more caramelized, you can cook it for a couple of extra minutes.
  6. Once done, remove the pineapple from the air fryer and let it cool for a few minutes. It will be hot when it comes out of the air fryer.
  7. Serve the air-fried pineapple as a snack, side dish, or dessert. You can enjoy it as is, or add it to yogurt, ice cream, or a tropical fruit salad….
