🧾 Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 12 frozen pierogies (cheese, potato, or your favorite filling)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Optional: butter or oil for caramelized onions

For Caramelized Onions

  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp olive oil or butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: pinch of sugar to enhance caramelization

For Serving

  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt

🔥 Instructions

1. Prep pierogies

  • Toss frozen pierogies in olive oil and lightly season with salt and pepper.

2. Preheat air fryer

  • Set to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.

3. Air fry pierogies

  • Place pierogies in a single layer in the basket.
  • Cook 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on the outside.

4. Caramelize onions (optional but amazing)

  • While pierogies cook, heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Add sliced onions and a pinch of salt.
  • Cook 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onions are soft and golden brown.
  • Optional: sprinkle a pinch of sugar for enhanced sweetness.

5. Serve

  • Plate pierogies with caramelized onions on top or on the side.
  • Add a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt for dipping.
