Air Fryer Hamburger Patties
Ingredients (makes 2–4 patties)
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 is ideal)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Optional: smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, or steak seasoning
Instructions (Fresh Patties)
- Preheat air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Form patties
- Divide beef into equal portions.
- Gently shape into patties about ¾-inch thick.
- Press a small dimple in the center (prevents puffing).
- Season both sides generously.
- Air fry
- Place patties in the basket in a single layer.
- Cook 7–9 minutes, flip halfway.
- Add cheese (optional)
- Place cheese on patties during the last 1–2 minutes.
- Rest for 2 minutes before serving.
Cooking Times (Doneness Guide)
- Medium: 7 minutes
- Medium-well: 8 minutes
- Well-done: 9–10 minutes
(Internal temp: 160°F / 71°C for food safety)
Frozen Patties
- No thawing needed
- Cook at 370°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway
- Add cheese during last 2 minutes
