Air fryer Filet Mignon

Ingredients:

  • 2 Filet Mignon steaks (about 6-8 ounces each)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Garlic powder, onion powder, or your favorite steak seasoning

Instructions:

Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Prepare the Filet Mignon:
Pat the filets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Rub each steak with a small amount of olive oil, ensuring they are coated evenly.
Season the steaks with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings you prefer.
Place in the Air Fryer:
Place the seasoned Filet Mignon steaks in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching each other. Leave some space for air circulation.
Air Fry:
Cook the steaks in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for about 8-12 minutes, depending on your desired level of doneness and the thickness of the steaks.
For medium-rare, aim for the lower end of the cooking time, and for medium to medium-well, go for the higher end.
Check for Doneness:
About halfway through the cooking time, flip the steaks to ensure even cooking. Use tongs to turn them over.
Resting Time:
Once the Filet Mignon steaks are done, let them rest for a few minutes outside the air fryer. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a juicy and tender steak.
Serve:
Plate the steaks and serve them with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad.
