Air fryer cinnamon franch toast
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of thick bread (such as brioche, challah, or Texas toast)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk (or any non-dairy milk)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Cooking spray or a little melted butter for greasing the air fryer basket
Optional Toppings:
- Maple syrup
- Powdered sugar
- Fresh berries
- Whipped cream
Instructions:
- Prepare the Batter:
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Dip the Bread:
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side. Make sure the bread is well-coated but not overly saturated.
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Air Fry the French Toast:
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a little melted butter.
- Place the soaked bread slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry at 370°F (190°C) for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the French toast is golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Serve:
- Remove the French toast from the air fryer and serve immediately.
- Top with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, powdered sugar, fresh berries, or whipped cream.
Tips:
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the egg mixture.
- If you prefer a richer batter, substitute half of the milk with heavy cream.
- Keep the first batch of French toast warm in a low oven while you cook the remaining slices.
